We are ALL beautiful in His eyes!

Written by Kristi Wells, Women of Compassion Council

I was thinking about my awkward middle school days (pictured right). The hideous gym uniforms, awful hair styles and laugh at others as well as those who made sure only the “cool kids” were invited to their parties. I am sure I was doing some of those same things, except I was talking ugly about the “cool girls” since I wasn’t one of them.

So while that rejection for me as an adolescent was traumatic, it pales in comparison to children who have not only been rejected by peers, but also their own family and very alone.

Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and behold, it was very good…”(ESV)

At our 10 year anniversary event, Christi Haag said she wanted to wake up every day with “God eyes.” She wants to see everyone through His eyes, the way He sees all of us. God didn’t see me as a gangly, awkward teenager. He made me, He loved me and He accepted me.

We are ALL beautiful in His eyes…..awkward and all!
