It is that giving time of year again, and we are so excited to be able to provide the essential urgent needs for children and families thanks to your financial gifts this season. We know that giving is always better when you know exactly what impact it is having on people. There are so many needs of children and families to meet and we are committed to using the funds that the Lord has given us in the best way possible.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)

Here are 5 Ways Your Gift Counts for children and families:

  1. A safe and secure home is provided for a single mother and her children so they can hope again.

When you give a gift, a mother and a child are provided a safe place to live while the mother works toward a new job or continue her education. You are coming alongside them, helping that mother to make life-changing strides and eventually provide for her child on her own through our Brave Moms program.

  1. A foster parent is able to provide Christmas for their children.

When you give a gift, a primary care giver of five children is able to provide Christmas dinner for her children through Compassion Ministries. You kindly enable us to provide food, clothing and Christmas presents this Holiday season.

  1. Siblings are reunited after years apart.

When you give a gift, you are helping reunite siblings who have been separated in foster care for years. Your gift helps us bring them together under one roof in one of our foster family homes, sometimes, just in time for Christmas.

  1. A young, expecting mother is motivated to choose life.

When you give a gift, you are encouraging a young pregnant girl like Marissa*, who has been trafficked. You are ensuring she has the opportunity to get the prenatal care she needs and that The Porch Light will make certain that she and her unborn baby are safe and sound. You are helping her to get the help and resources that she needs to raise her child in a safe environment. She comes in scared, but thanks to your generous gift, she leaves confident and protected.

  1. A child in a developing country is saved.

When you give a gift, you are helping a child like 10-year-old Lidia in Sabolciu, Romania, who is diagnosed with a life-threatening tumor. Thanks to gifts from people like you, we are able to provide funds, through Orphan’s Heart, for the surgery that she needed to survive. By God’s grace, a life was saved.

Every dollar you give counts because the life of every child counts!
