[/custom_headline][text_output]Each local Orphan Sunday event is customized and more.“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” – Isaiah 1:17 (NIV)
This fall, leading up to and around the world, as we take up the cause of the fatherless.
Here are three ways you can host an event to make a difference for One More Child.[/text_output][text_output]
Diaper Drive
Collect much needed diapers for children served through Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and through our international ministry, One More Child!
Fill a crib with diapers, build a diaper tower (stack diapers to the ceiling), host a diaper derby, host a baby shower, or collect “diaper change” in jars to provide a diaper change to a child in need. We can’t wait to hear the fun ways you collect diapers and help us meet a tangible need for a child. Click HERE to sign up![/text_output][text_output]
Create Your Own Event
Our goal is to bring hope to hurting and families the opportunity to sponsor a precious child through One More Child!
It could be a prayer gathering, Sunday morning sermon (request an FBCH speaker), educational seminar, hosting a movie/documentary on the orphan crisis, student-led fundraisers, hosting a foster care/adoption information recruitment event, live concerts, or missions fairs. Have fun, be creative and take action for a child.
We want to hear about your Orphan Sunday event! Email your idea to us at children@fbchomes.org. Post your event on Facebook and #OrphanSunday[/text_output][text_output]
Share the Need on Social Media
Maybe you’ve experienced the joy of loving on the children at the Malnutrition Center in Guatemala. Maybe you are a foster parent and how every extra diaper helps. Or maybe you are the person who garners 500 likes from a simple Facebook post because people gravitate to you.
Beginning September 1 we will be sharing the story of how diapers play a vital role in caring for children. Share our posts on our Facebook page, Instagram account and ask people to consider making a gift at www.FBCHomes.org/orphansunday/give-now .
Your swipes and smiles![/text_output]
