Coffee, Art & Helping Kids

Patrons visiting a Lakeland coffee shop, just up the road from our international headquarters, will have the opportunity throughout the month of June to make a positive impact on children by purchasing artwork and learning more about Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, The Porch Light and One More Child as they enjoy their espresso drinks and fresh baked goods.

Local artist Sarah Farnsworth will have artwork available for purchase at Mitchell’s Coffee House the entire month of June, and 50 percent of the proceeds will benefit The Porch Light as it fights to end sex trafficking and provide hope and healing to child victims of the heinous crime.

As part of First Friday in Downtown Lakeland on June 2, Farnsworth will host an artist reception from 6-8 p.m.

Throughout the month, staff from FBCH will also be at Mitchell’s enjoying coffee with customers and answering questions about what the organizations does and how people can get involved to make a difference in the lives of children and families in Polk County and throughout the state and world.

Check the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes Facebook page throughout June for dates and times staff will be available at Mitchell’s.
