For those wishing to give a year-end monetary gift to support Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, One More Child or The Porch Light, our offices will be open during regular working hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) on Wednesday, December 30.
On New Year’s Eve — Thursday, December 31 — a member of our development staff will be on site at our Lakeland Tallahassee offices until 4:30 p.m. For people dropping off a financial gift past 4:30 p.m., instructions on how to securely leave your donation will be posted on the door at the main entrance of the campus office.
Contributions mailed to our offices must be postmarked on or before December 31 to be eligible to receive a tax deduction for 2015. Another option is to make your year-end gift online.
You may also want to note that earlier this month the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 was signed into law, making permanent qualified charitable distributions from individual retirement accounts. Read here for more information.
