Give HOPE this Christmas!

By December 1, 2015No Comments

Much like your own children or grandchildren, the children in our care are anticipating the arrival of Christmas day! That is why it brings us such great joy when we are able to provide abundantly for our children, most of who have received very little during their lives!

This Christmas at Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, there are children in our care who have tremendous physical and emotional needs. There are children in our care like Jack, whose stories break your heart.

When he was 3 years old, Jack’s mother suffered a mental breakdown andmother was granted custody but was unable to care for him because of her progressive dementia.

Jack was then placed with a family in Florida Baptist Children’s Homes foster care program. Upon his arrival, he showed signs of delayed development. Jack’s vocabulary was very limited for his age; he was only able to say a handful of words. His motor skills were also greatly lacking.

Jack’s life has been radically transformed thanks to intense physical and care of a Christian family. Today, you can find Jack in his backyard, singing his favorite song while playing catch with the family dog.

Jack's Christmas ListWhen his foster mom asked him what was on his wish list for Christmas, Jack proudly exclaimed, “I want a big red slide!” Because of supporters like you who come alongside us to care for children, we can provide him with a big red slide and also with hope for his future!

Your Christmas gift will help us bring the hope and wonderful Christmas memories for the children in our care!
