Girl Scouts earn award for service

PINELLAS PARK – Six Cadette Girl Scouts with Troop 726, based at First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, earned the Silver Award.

The girls worked for two years to earn this award, which is the highest award for a Cadette. Their project was to plan and.

For Christmas, they gathered more than 125 gifts for the children. They planned a Valentine’s Day Party, that included games, crafts and teaching the children to make homemade ice cream in Ziploc bags.

For Easter, they planned a party with a cooked lunch, games, teaching the children to make cand delivered it at the Easter party.

They received the Silver Award on Nov. 3.

Girl Scouts host dinner

Troop 726 is holding their second annual Whodunnit Dinner – A Night at the Movies event Saturday, May 19, 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, 5495 Park Blvd.

Tickets are $10 and activities throughout the year.
