LAKELAND, Fla. — Students from Kathleen High School in Lakeland campus of the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes.

The group, called Future Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) organized a “dollar drive” and campus.
The group personally delivered the funds to Eron Green, the administrator for the Lakeland met some of the children.
Karen Kilday, faculty advisor for the group said that her students wanted to do something for the community by helping children who were less fortunate than themselves. “They chose the Children’s Homes because they are in our community. The kids at the Children’s Homes go to our school and our students relate to them as fellow teenagers,” Kilday said.
