Twelve third grade girls from High Springs working together as GRACE Girls have raised more than $1,300 for the Children’s Homes through car washes, bake sales, and ribbon sales.

Kaitlyn and were excited when they learned about the plans to build a Children’s Home in Alachua County closer to where they live.

“The girls came up with the idea to help raise money for the new home. I told them that if they wanted to include some friends I would help them do it,” Whitfield said.

“GRACE Girls stand continue to work to help others,” Whitfield said.

Over the past couple of months the girls have sold ribbons, held a car wash, bake sale, and haven’t stopped. They are working to raise even more money this fall.

“These girls obviously have a heart for other children and want to do something to help. They are truly making a difference in the lives of others,” said Jessica Throckmorton, director of development for the North Florida Area of the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes.

Thank you GRACE Girls. You are an inspiration to us all!
