Christmas Open House Events
Florida Baptist Children’s Homes will host open house events across the state beginning Dec. 1 and individuals are invited to spend time with the children and staff, participate in campus tours, and celebrate the Christmas season.
“We love this time of year and the opportunity to open many of our campuses to friends and family members to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ,” said Jerry Haag, president of the two organizations.
Each campus celebration will have its own unique offerings for those who attend. Special music on the Lakeland campus will feature Kristi Brown who has led music for both Beth Moore and Babbie Mason. The Jacksonville campus will host a themed open house called “Christmas Morning on the Farm.”
“All year long, we are blessed by those who partner with us to continue to help one more child through adoption services, foster care, the Caring Families Program, our new safe home initiative and more,” said Haag. “This is just one way our children and staff can connect with those who are giving their time and resources to change the lives of children.”
In conjunction with the open house Christmas events, FBCH will host a “Stuff the Stockings” drive. Gift ideas for the drive include pajamas, socks and gift cards.
“Also, for those who would like to bring a gift, we are always in need of diapers for the youngest children we serve,” said Haag.
