Will Wiggins had the opportunity to travel with his family on an international mission trip to the Children’s Malnutrition Center in San Juan, Guatemala. The plight of the children made a lasting impression him.

He returned home determined to do more for the Center. He immediately set about raising money for them, and to date has raised more than $6,400.

“It was really sad to see those kids. We get pretty much whatever we want here, and they don’t really have anything at all,” Will said.

“I went to my grandparents’ Sunday school class and gave a presentation with pictures of the kids and tried to raise money that way. I also sent letters to my aunts and uncles. I put a picture in with the letter too.”

Will has done a number of other things to raise money like selling some of his video games and donating his allowance.

“We’re so proud of him,” said his mother Amy Wiggins. “He has been doing all of this because he wanted to do something to help, and we support him all the way.”

Will and his family attend McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers, where he continues to raise support and awareness for the Malnutrition Center. For more information on the Children’s Malnutrition Center in San Juan, Guatemala go to our website at OrphansHeart.org.
