Who we are

The Florida Baptist Children’s Homes is a faith-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Christ-centered services to children and families in need. The Children’s Homes is an agency of the Florida Baptist Convention and is governed by a 24-member board of trustees.

Children on the Jacksonville residential care campus enjoy spending time with the horses that are cared for and stabled on the campus.

These trustees are elected by the Convention to serve three-year terms on a rotating basis. The Children’s Homes has been serving abused, neglected and orphaned children since 1904.

We have three major service areas; campus ministries, community ministries, and international childcare missions.

Campus ministries include residential care, emergency shelter care and adult developmental services. Community ministries include foster care, maternity care, adoption services, and the Sanctity of Human Life program. The Children’s Homes also conducts international childcare missions to developing countries around the world.
